Philip Grover Ezra Pound et les Troubadours Ezra Pound and the Troubadours

    Philip Grover, qui a organisé le colloque de Brantôme, a enseigné la littérature américaine, pendant une vingtaine d’années, à l’université de Sheffield en Angleterre, où, en 1976, il présenta une exposition sur Pound et ses voyages dans le pays des troubadours. Ce colloque fut suivi immédiatement par d’autres qui, s’associant à ceux qui se tenaient aux États-Unis, ont donné naissance à des colloques internationaux sur Pound. 

    PhiIip Grover, the organiser of this conference, was, for a number of years, Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield, charged with the responsibility for American Literature. In 1976 he organised a Pound exposition at Sheffield University Library, specifically centred round Pound and his trips in Troubadour country. From this first English conference many others soon followed, and putting together these efforts with those of Carroll F. Terrell in the United States, the International Ezra Pound Conferences were born.
